This four-story Japanese-inspired beach house can host up to 8 people with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. A two-door garage is located on the first level, along with the laundry room and a toilet. The garage can hold 2-3 vehicles depending on their size. A game space in the garage area boasts a fold-up Ping-Pong table and surfboard table with side access to the backyard.
The bedrooms are located on the second and fourth levels and provide scenic views of the backyard, Deep Creek and Zeally Bay. The main living area, dining room, and kitchen are found on the third level, where the open space—complete with full-length windows and sliding glass doors—creates a welcoming, airy ambiance.
Finally, a small office rests on the fourth level, featuring a high-speed ADSL2 server and Wi-Fi modem, colour laser printer and scanner, and a laptop with all the software you need to stay connected.
The four bedrooms are found on the second and fourth levels. Two guest bedrooms sit on the second level, and the master bedroom shares the top level with the office and the study, which acts as another bedroom. The bedrooms on the second level each feature a closet and queen size bed, while the study accommodates 3 with its trundle bunk bed, and the master bedroom holds the king size bed. The master bedroom enjoys the comfort of a private bathroom with a spacious shower and walk-in closet. The study opens onto the uppermost deck with a sweeping ocean view.
The large backyard is a secure, fully enclosed, multipurpose space that has something for everyone. Three decks compliment the yard, opening off the house’s various levels and offering sitting areas throughout, with a barbeque on the second level. Equal parts entertainment and nature, the backyard is filled with native Australian plants and various comforts including a jungle gym, two grass lawns, and a clothes hoist. A convenient walking path leads directly from the yard, meandering along the creek towards Whites Beach. Doors leading to the decks and backyard open off the first, third, and fourth levels of the house.
Temperature controls are found on the second and third levels of the house. Evaporative cooling and ventilation controls on the third level are controlled via remote, while split-level air conditioning controls are available on the second level. Electric oil heaters are located on the second and third levels. The home also allows an abundance of natural light to flow in through its large windows, especially on the third level. The accommodating climate control makes 5 Highlander perfectly comfortable at any time of the year in any area of the house.
